This policy explains what happens to information when you visit OpenSwiftApp at 52gww.com. It is written to be read rather than skimmed past, and it describes what the site actually does — not a template of things it might do.

Effective date: 20 September 2026.

The short version

There are no accounts, no newsletter, no comment form, and no advertising. Browsing the site does not require you to give up any personal information. The site does count visits using self-hosted analytics, described in full below.

What is collected when you visit

The site uses Umami, an open source analytics tool, to understand which articles are read. Umami is self-hosted for this site and is configured to avoid personal data: it does not use cookies, it does not fingerprint browsers, and it does not build a profile that follows you to other websites.

For each page view, the following is recorded:

The page address that was viewed

The referring page, if you arrived from a link elsewhere

The browser, operating system, and device type, in general terms

The country the request came from, derived from the network address

The time of the visit and how long the page was open

This information is aggregate and statistical. It is used to see which articles are useful and what to write next. It is not used to identify you, and it is not combined with information from anywhere else.

Cookies

The public pages of this site do not set cookies. There is no cookie banner because there is no tracking cookie to consent to. The administrative interface used by the site's author does use a session cookie, but it is reachable only by signing in and is never served to ordinary visitors.

Google Analytics

The site is built to support Google Analytics 4, and this policy discloses it so that the disclosure stays accurate if it is switched on. As of the effective date above it is not active: no Google Analytics script is loaded, no identifier is configured, and no data is sent to Google. If it is ever enabled, the relevant measurement identifier will be configured, this policy will be updated first to describe what Google receives and how long it is retained, and visitors in regions requiring consent will be asked before any such script runs.

Server logs

The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes requests in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare may keep short-lived operational logs including network addresses. Those logs are retained by Cloudflare under its own policies and are not used here to identify individual readers.

What is not done

No personal information is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers

No advertising networks, tracking pixels, or social media buttons are embedded

No profile of your reading is built across other websites

No marketing email is sent, because there is no mailing list

Email you send

If you write to the address on the Contact page, your email address, your message, and anything you choose to include are received and read. That correspondence is kept only as long as it is needed — to reply, to make a correction, or as a record of a decision — and is then deleted. It is not added to a mailing list and not shared. You can ask for it to be deleted at any time.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or Japan, data protection law gives you rights over personal information about you: to be told what is held, to see it, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict how it is used, and to object to its use. The lawfulness of the limited processing described above rests on legitimate interests — understanding readership in order to write better articles — and, for correspondence, on your own request to be answered.

Because the analytics described above are deliberately anonymous and aggregate, it is generally not possible to locate a particular person's records within them. If you write with a request, it will be answered honestly, including by explaining when there is nothing identifiable to act on.

Children

This site is written for people interested in software development and is not directed at children. No personal information is knowingly collected from children.

Changes to this policy

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the effective date at the top moves forward. Material changes — adding an analytics provider, for example — will be reflected here before the change takes effect.

Contacting the site about privacy

Questions, requests, and complaints about privacy can be sent to suport@felo.ai. The Contact page explains what else that address is for.
